Terms of Use
Using Cold File or Vegas Social means agreeing to what follows. It is short on purpose.
What you buy
Buying a case pack or a season gives you a permanent licence to play that content on your account. A season is a closed set. It is fixed before it goes on sale and nothing is added to it later, so what you bought is exactly what the listing said.
Refunds are handled by Google Play and the App Store under their policies, because they take the payment, not us. If a refund is refused and you think it shouldn't have been, write to us anyway.
Your account
One person, one account. Don't impersonate anyone, don't use someone else's photos, and don't sell or transfer your account. Vegas Social is 18 and over. Cold File is rated Teen.
Conduct on Vegas Social
Harassment, threats, hate speech, sexual content involving minors, solicitation and scams all end the account. Threat reports suspend an account immediately rather than joining a queue. We would rather suspend someone in error and hear about it than leave a threat live overnight.
Venue information in the app is provided as a guide. Hours change, doors change, and a listing is not a promise that a place will let you in.
Meeting people
Verification raises the cost of pretending to be someone else. It does not make a stranger safe. Meet in public, tell someone where you are going, and use the date check-in. We do not run background checks on members and we don't claim to.
Content in Cold File
Every case is invented. Every person, place and death in the game is fictional. Any resemblance to a real case or a real person is coincidence. The forensic reasoning is researched and described as accurately as we can manage, but the game is entertainment and not instruction.
The photographs in the game are AI-generated. No real people, no real crime scenes, no real victims. All the writing is human.
Ownership
The apps, the cases, the images and the marks are ours. What you post on Vegas Social stays yours. You give us permission to display it inside the app, and that permission ends when you delete it.
The legal part
The apps are provided as they are. We don't warrant that they will be uninterrupted or error-free, and to the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the previous twelve months. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada.
