Privacy Policy
This covers Cold File and Vegas Social, both published by Cold Deck Studios, Las Vegas, Nevada. The two apps collect very different amounts of data, so each has its own section.
The short version
We don't sell your data. We don't run ad networks in either app. We don't build advertising profiles. Cold File works without an account at all. Vegas Social needs an account because it's a social network, and it is built so that even we can't see where you live.
Cold File
The game runs locally. Your progress, your streak and your service record live on your device.
If you choose to sign in to sync your record across devices or appear on the Precinct leaderboards, we store a display name, your case results and your streak, tied to an account identifier. You can play the entire catalogue without ever signing in.
Purchases are processed by Google Play or the App Store. We receive confirmation that a purchase happened and what it unlocked. We never see your card.
We collect crash reports and basic usage counts, such as how many people finished a given case, to find bugs and to see which cases are too hard. This is not tied to an advertising identifier.
Vegas Social
To hold an account you give us a mobile number and complete a live selfie check. We keep the number, the verification result, and the profile you build: name, pronouns, neighborhood, photos, groups, events, posts and messages.
Location is the part worth reading twice. Your coordinates are snapped to a fixed grid before anything is written down. What leaves our servers is a range, such as 3 to 5 miles away. There is no precise distance anywhere in the app, for anyone, including our own moderators. We do not track you between sessions and we do not track you during a date.
Your dating photos and dating details are stored separately from your social profile. People who see you in a group, an event or the feed cannot retrieve them.
Trusted contacts you add for date check-ins are used for one thing: sending a missed-check-in alert. They are never shown to anyone you match with.
Messages are stored so they can be delivered and so we can act on a report. We read message content only when someone reports it.
What we never do
We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not share it with data brokers. We do not run third-party advertising SDKs in either app. We do not use your photos to train models.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account and everything attached to it. Deletion is permanent and we do not keep a shadow copy. Email

Nevada residents have the right to tell us not to sell their information. We do not sell it in the first place, but the request line is the same address.
Children
Neither app is for children. Cold File is rated Teen. Vegas Social is 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under those ages.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect, we will say so in the app rather than quietly updating the date at the top. Questions go to
